Welcome to Merry Go Round Under Fives, a nursery and preschool located in the extensive grounds of Hartsfield JMI School in Baldock.

 

Our rich history dates back to October 1987, when we initially opened as a parent and toddler group. Two years later, we expanded our services to include a playgroup catering to 2-3 year olds. In 2012, we were thrilled to be given the opportunity to further enhance our offering by welcoming 3-4 year old children for their Nursery year.​ 

 

Throughout our journey, we have remained dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters a love for learning, preparing children for their future education. Our longstanding presence in the community is a testament to our commitment to excellence and our passion for supporting children's growth and development. ​

 

Our experienced educators are passionate about early childhood development, prioritising key areas such as personal, social, and emotional growth, physical development, and communication and language skills. Our tailored curriculum encompasses literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design, providing a well-rounded foundation for future education.​

 

We value strong partnerships with parents and families, creating a seamless transition between home and school, and fostering a sense of belonging and community.  Our committee-run approach ensures decisions are made with the best interests of children and families in mind, and as an Ofsted-regulated establishment, we adhere to the highest quality and safety standards.​
